If you have any questions pertaining to Quakerism, or more specifically, this website, I will try my best to answer them here.
Note that I am not a Quaker scholar or even all that knowledgeable, but if I don’t have the answer I will try and find it for you.
You can contact me through the ‘Contact Us’ link or directly here.
Q. How do I become a member?
A. Click on the sign in/up link
in the top right corner. On the following page click ‘need an account’. From here you will need to fill
in a membership profile. Once you have accepted the Terms of Use you will officially be a member. If you don’t want to be a part of
our online community, but would like to leave your contact information, click on the
member directory
link further down the right hand side
of the page. If you are concerned about being spammed, I would not recommend signing up here. You might be okay, but I can’t guarantee
it.
Q. How to I make submissions of artwork, poetry, news and other stuff to this website?
A. To submit poetry you must be a member and you must be logged in. Then simply click on the add/edit poetry link and make you submission. To make submissions of art, photos,
and news, email them to me
here.
If you would like to submit music or sermons to the website, the process is a little more complicated.
These must be burnt on to a CD and mailed to:

Q. How do I get my link on your website?
A. First, you need to contact me. Then, in most cases, we will need to do a link exchange. (You
will need to put my link on your website.) On occasion, I will link to websites where I feel there
is genuine support for this project without requiring my link being put up in return. (By hey, why not
exchange links? We can both better our search engine ranking!)
Q. Is Quakers Online exclusive to Conservative Quakers?
A. Emphatically NO. I, being both the administrator and author of this website, am a Conservative Quaker, and much of the content and graphics undoubtedly reflect this leaning, but it was never my intention to create a website purely for my own community. I, however, will not have much control over our future development. The real content of this website are the members on it, and the content they submit to me. My hope is that Friends of all perspectives will be represented here.
Q. What is a Conservative Quaker?
A. A Conservative Quaker is someone who tries to conserve the beliefs and traditions of the early Religious Society of Friends. Central to this is a belief in the divinity of Christ. If you are interested in learning more about Conservative Quakers, I would recommend the following links:

"Wilburite
Friends - Orthodox Quakers
who identified with prominent Rhode Island Quaker minister John Wilbur (1774
- 1856) in his criticisms of English Quaker minister Joseph John Gurney (1788 -
1847).? Wilburites, sometimes called Conservative Friends, emphasized the plain
life, separation from the world, strict enforcement of the discipline, guidance
by the Inward Light, and close adherence to writings of early Quakers.? The differences
led to major separations in New England and Ohio Yearly Meetings, and a minor separation
in New York Yearly Meeting in the 1840s and 1850s.? Philadelphia Yearly Meeting
(Orthodox) maintained a fragile unity, despite tensions between a Wilburite majority
and a Gurneyite minority.? A second series of splits for similar reasons occurred
in the late 19 th and early 20th
centuries, resulting in Yearly
Meetings of Conservative Friends."
(See: http://www.swarthmore.edu/Library/friends/glossary.htm
). Conservatives are Orthodox .
Q. What is a Liberal Quaker?
A. Could someone please send me a concise answer to this question along with one or two appropriate links?
